Carwash workers across the country are routinely abused, intimidated and exploited. They’re routinely subjected to health/safety hazards and often end up with severe kidney damage, respiratory problems and nerve deterioration. The CLEAN Carwash Campaign partnered with Cuentame to produce the following video, allowing carwasheros/as to share their personal experiences with others.
Carwash Workers Get Health Care
Watch how a United Steelworkers-community campaign is providing health care and changing lives. Says carwash worker Oscar, “Now, thank God my life has changed. If I get sick and feel bad, I have a clinic to go to. This is all because of the campaign.”
Building Power Through Community Partnerships
